Eric Roth is a managing director and head of the consumer and retail�group at Lazard Middle Market. He has more than 15 years of experience advising public and private companies on all phases of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and restructuring transactions, during which time he has worked on more than 40 completed assignments. Specifically, Mr. Roth has (i) channel expertise in ecommerce, direct selling, catalog, and multi-unit retail and (ii) product expertise in apparel, accessories, pet products, home goods, health and wellness, and craft beer.Recent representative transactions include advising Hand & Stone Franchise Corp. on its sale to Levine Leichtman Capital Partners; Oskar Blues Brewing Company on its partnership with Fireman Capital Partners; Bluestem Brands on its sale to CapMark Financial; ComVest on its acquisition of Old Time Pottery; Rhone Capital on the sale of Rexair to Jarden; ComVest on its acquisition of DiscountMugs.com; The Mustang Group on its acquisition of Meridian Automotive; Chewy.com on its capital raise; Rhinestone Holdings on its acquisition of Silpada Designs from Avon Products; Power Equipment Direct on its sale to Ferguson/Build.com; Oriental Trading on its sale to Berkshire Hathaway; Buy.com on its sale to Rakuten; Sundance on its sale to Brentwood; Silpada Designs on its sale to Avon Products; Golfsmith on its sale to Golftown; Vera Bradley on its IPO and follow-on offering; Kiss My Face on its recapitalization by Caltius Equity Partners; and Kellwood Company on its restructuring.Prior to joining Lazard Middle Market, Mr. Roth was an associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Dewey Ballantine LLP, a New York based, international law firm.Mr. Roth received a juris doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in economics-political science from Columbia University.
