Loretta Salzano

Founder

Loretta Salzano founded Franzén and Salzano in 1996 and manages the firm’s federal and multi-state compliance practice. In 2009, Loretta and her law partner launched ComplyShare, a mortgage quality control and compliance company. Loretta spends most of her time advising banks and mortgage lenders on how to comply with state and federal laws including, but not limited to, TILA, RESPA. ECOA, HMDA, SAFE and FCRA. She drafts and negotiates loan purchase and sale agreements, warehouse line agreements, servicing agreements and other contracts. Loretta also assists clients in responding to regulatory examinations and actions. Loretta is a frequent speaker on mortgage lending and related issues.Loretta serves as Legal Counsel to the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia, as Chair and Legal Counsel to Rainbow Village (a transitional housing shelter) and is active in many other industry, professional and civic associations. She is Martindale-Hubbell’s Financial Law Panelist for Ask a Lawyer, and her firm serves as the Georgia editor to Houselaw. Before founding Franzén and Salzano in 1996, Loretta acted as Corporate Counsel to Fleet Finance and Georgia Federal Bank, and she was also in private practice. Loretta received her B.A. with high distinction from the University of Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan Law School.
