Mike has been part of four high-tech startups in industries ranging from semiconductors to fuel cells to digital health. At Wellth, his role is to ensure the scientific and economic integrity of Wellth’s products for health and life insurers and to innovate in new areas. Mike leads the company’s research efforts in applying behavioral economics principles at scale through mobile technologies in order to better influence and understand consumer behavior. He has helped Wellth raise over $250,000 in awarded grants from the National Institutes of Health, New York City Economic Development Corporation, and various startup competitions, and he currently serves as an investigator in three randomized clinical trials. Mike holds a PhD in Chemistry from Princeton University and has published 14 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals including Nature Communications, JACS, and Scientific Reports.
