Ed comes from a commercial insurance background having developed a number of successful products which used risk management technologies to reduce accident frequencies. In 2011, Ed saw an opportunity to use similar risk management techniques and apply them to young driver policies, co-founding the launch of Carrot Insurance - a leading UK telematics digital insurance brand which uses a combination of meaningful rewards and proactive risk management interventions to offer UK young drivers a much more engaging and rewarding alternative to traditional auto insurance. Since launch, it has won many industry awards including a recent win for Best Customer App Experience in late Fall 2019.
