Michaele's leadership & strategic expertise has spanned multiple industries in all technical capacities over the course of her career. Most recently, Michaele served as the CTO & VP of Business Applications for CSAA Insurance Group. During her tenure there, she was responsible for the successful applications transformation program which laid the digital foundation for customer service products. She is most passionate about providing simple & effective solutions that include a strong Voice of the Customer.. She also served as Vice President of Information Technology (IT) at Sun Microsystems for 14 years. During that time period, she held a variety of executive positions within the global IT organization. Prior to that, she spent several years with Peat Marwick (now KPMG) in their Systems Development practice. Before her role at Peat Marwick, she was the Western Regional Support manager at Computer Associates, responsible for the post-sales support group for the 18 western states. Michaele began her professional career working for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) as a systems engineer.

Most recently, Michaele has been publicly recognized with several leadership awards from Digital Insurance, Information Age & the San Francisco Business Times. Michaele was a Board member for the International House at the University of California at Berkeley for 9 years, chairing the Technology Committee during some of her tenure there.

Michaele received a B.S.B.A. degree from the University of Denver in Quantitative Methods & Statistics. She spent part of her senior year in college living in Nairobi, Kenya where she helped her hosts support the Catholic Relief Services efforts in that country.
