Anchor General Modernizes Core With Duck Creek

Anchor General Insurance Company has selected Duck Creek On-Demand, the vendor’s cloud for core software, to replace its legacy policy, billing and claims systems, the companies announced today.

As part of the deal, Anchor General will launch new agent and consumer portals, allowing customers to view policy and billing information, process payments and submit claims. The SaaS platform will also leverage Duck Creek’s systems to gather data from motor vehicle reports and police reports to establish insurability, according to the vendor.

“We were looking for out-of-the box functionality that was very robust and could support our new distribution channels and Duck Creek provided the right solution,” said Abe Badani, owner and CEO of Anchor General, in a statement. ““We will be able to redirect our IT resources to support our strategic initiatives rather than manage and maintain our systems.”

Anchor General joins Auto Owners, UniGroup and Cumberland Insurance as Duck Creek’s latest core systems customers.
