CNA launches online quoting capability for BOP, workers' comp

CNA has launched a new Get a Quote service for business owner's policy and workers' compensation customers.

The company says it's still committed to the agent channel for binding a policy, but that by opening up the online channel it hopes to make it easier for small-business customers to discover the company.

"As small business owners' needs and preferences change, we will continue to deliver the services and support they need, underpinned by CNA’s commitment to the independent agency channel," says Wes Sprinkle, SVP for small business.

Get a Quote is accessible from any internet-connected device, and uses "a variety of third party data sources" to pre-fill and validate information. Previously, CNA's website only offered agent-finding and very rough premium estimates, but this quote is more actionable, the company says.

"This new process allows the consumer to obtain the information more readily and more efficiently to inform their purchasing decision," says Chris Skowronski, VP of digital strategy. "We are one of the few carriers that continues to drive new business to our agents through this new digital channel."
