EO2 INTERFACE FOR WINGSEagle Technology Management Inc., a Marion, Iowa, software provider, has made version 3.0 of its WINGS financial reporting system available, which features a new EO2 (Excel/Outlook2) interface. Through EO2's Outlook and Excel functions, WINGS users are able to access and work with their financial reporting data, statement pages and schedules-even perform consolidations using the already familiar Excel functionality. EO2 further also enables the entire financial reporting communication and collaboration process to be administered via the familiar Outlook style interface.

GLASSHOUSE SERVICE FINDS STORAGE SECURITY GAPS

A Storage Security Risk Assessment that addresses security vulnerabilities in a company's data storage system is now being offered by GlassHouse Technologies Inc., a Framing-ham, Mass.-based storage services and consulting firm. The service includes an assessment of a company's storage operations and culminates with a specific roadmap for implementing secure storage technologies and policies.

RELICORE OFFERS MULTI-MODE CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT

Relicore Inc., a Burlington, Mass., provider of configuration management solutions, has released a multi-mode version of its Clarity software, which offers different modes of data collection for discovering, mapping and tracking changes to applications, distributed systems, and legacy systems. This new version of Relicore Clarity supports data collection in a real-time, event-driven mode and a periodic scanning mode, which users no longer have to make the tradeoff between an agent versus agentless solution, according to Relicore.

NAVISYS RELEASES ENTERPRISE PLATFORM VERSION 9.5

Edison, N.J.-based NaviSys Inc. has released version 9.5 of its Enterprise Platform, which enables insurers to add and re-use complex new insurance concepts using upgraded configuration tools. NaviSys Enterprise Platform 9.5 combines product and business rules into a single tool with a single repository. Business users can create brand-new financial concepts-from transactions to product features-through the configuration of rules, and the system automatically modifies components as appropriate. For example, after adding a new product feature or transaction, the user doesn't have to manually adjust the new business application or illustration.

FIRSTLOGIC ENHANCES IQ8 WITH COLLABORATION FOR BUSINESS, IT

The latest version of the IQ8 enterprise environment for data quality services has been launched by Firstlogic Inc., La Crosse, Wis. The new version, IQ8 8.05, provides collaboration for business and IT users, including an intuitive dashboard for project management, remote project monitoring and reporting, interaction with proprietary search and replace tables, plus a new phonetic matching algorithm.

SKYWIRE RELEASES POLICYWARE FOR MGAS, E&S BROKERS

Frisco, Texas-based Skywire Software, has launched Policyware, a centralized, Web-based agency management system designed specifically for managing general agencies (MGAs) and excess and surplus (E&S) brokers. The release came in conjunction with the rollout of Policyware at Gresham & Associates, a Stockbridge, Ga.-based MGA. Built on a Microsoft .NET platform, Policyware features include: submissions processing, accounting, reporting, business directory, workflow and systems utilities.

COMPASS WORKSITE OFFERS BUILDING BLOCK APPROACH

SunGard Data Systems Inc, a Wayne, Pa.-based technology provider to the financial services industry, has released COMPASS Worksite, a benefit administration support system for enrollment and management of group products sold through worksite marketing. COMPASS Worksite supports online enrollment, automated underwriting, payroll deduction, portability, and benefit administration for employer-sponsored group benefits. New products can be introduced in days, rather than weeks, through a rules-driven interface, which helps enable a business analyst to set up products, plan prototypes and administrate services with a "building block" approach, the company states.

INSYSTEMS RELEASES WRITER FOR STATE-COMPLIANT POLICIES

Markham, Ont.-based InSystems Corp. has released software designed to help insurers create state-specific filing documents and policy-issuance templates faster, easier and with less compliance risk. Called InSystems Writer, the software automatically produces state-specific documents for filing with state insurance regulators. The new-product developer specifies in the master document how wording applies to states, lines of business and products. Only the master is modified to make changes.

UNIFY ADDS BPM TO NAVRISK POLICY ADMIN PLATFORM

Unify Corp., a Sacramento, Calif. provider of business process automation solutions, added business process management capabilities to its NavRisk policy administration and underwriting platform for the alternative risk market. It is designed to help users coordinate the flow of tasks, access resources and exchange information, and capture key metrics about the execution of each process, to help companies identify bottlenecks and gain efficiency.

NEW VERSION OF AGENCY MANAGEMENT TOOL FOR BROKERS

Insurance broker technology product and services provider Zywave Inc., Milwaukee, released a new version of BrokerageBuilder, their agency management tool. Enhancements include HIPAA security functionality, encrypted e-mail capabilities for RFPs, upgrades to proposals and attachments, a new standard reports section, and a customizable workflow section. It also includes integration of Microsoft Outlook.

JACADA SIMPLIFIES CUSTOMER SERVICE WORKFLOW

Jacada Inc., an Atlanta-based contact center productivity solutions provider, has released Jacada Fusion Agent Portal, a desktop solution designed to optimize workflow processes by giving users a single point of access to systems and resources. Fusion Agent Portal is a Web-based, thin-client workspace incorporating a process optimization platform, a dynamic scripting environment for guided navigation, and tools for a contact center agent to complete customer interactions.

VIGA RELEASES ADOBE-BASED ENROLLMENT SOLUTION

VIGA Technologies, an Atlanta-based provider of intelligent document solutions for the healthcare industry, released i-enroller, a benefits enrollment solution based upon the Adobe Intelligent Document Platform. It is aimed at benefits consultants and brokers as an alternative to Web-only enrollment solutions. Brokers can conduct open enrollment using a choice of multi-carrier, multi-benefit enrollment forms customized for their client. i-enroller also creates paper forms for employees without access to technology, and uses XML, with the familiar look of a PDF form.
