Portico Systems, a portfolio company of Wayne, Pa.-based Safeguard Scientifics Inc., and provider of integrated provider management solutions, launched Portico Insight, a health plan analytics solution designed to enable visibility into all provider interactions and processes that take place between health plans and their provider communities. Insight renders critical information inside easily understood graphical dashboards, offering drill-down capabilities that give health plan managers a strategic advantage to act quickly and make well-informed decisions, the company says.

Insight's workforce performance topic, with its real-time analytics capabilities, identifies departmental and individual employee provider workforce performance activities. This includes workflow volumes, workflow cycle times, task completion times, work distribution and assignment and resource performance for optimizing efficiency.

DECISION MGT/BUSINESS RULES ONLINE COMMUNITY

Minneapolis-based Fair Isaac Corp. introduced its online community focusing on decision management and business rules tools. In addition to providing developers with 24x7 access to answers and advice, the Decision Management Tools Community features an ideas exchange, an online environment in which customers, developers, employees and others can post, vote on and discuss ideas with each other.

In a related announcement, Fair Isaac has made its industry-leading Blaze Advisor business rules management system available for a free, 90-day trial. Developers can download the full current shipping version of the software, install it and test it in their own environments.

CLAIMS ADMIN SYSTEM

Avizent, a Columbus, Ohio-based national risk management service provider, announced the release of its VISUAL Claims Studio (VCS) claims administration system.

VCS was constructed using the latest Microsoft .NET framework and Smart Client technology. With this structure, Avizent, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, says it's combined the familiar functionality and performance standards of Microsoft applications with the flexibility and simplicity of an online program.

The setup enables real-time updates, data sharing, customization and enhanced security, the company says. 

Fundamental features of VCS include: claim, enrollee, payment and occurrence searches based on multiple criteria types; fully automated FROI/SROI and EDI reporting; detailed injury tracking; and case management, pharmacy benefit management and treatment tracking; summaries of payments and reserves.
