Trustmark hires CIO from CNO

Trustmark, a financial-services company offering employee benefits including insurance products, has hired Bradley Bodell as SVP and CIO.

The company says Bodell's key charges are to facilitate enterprise growth, enhance customer experience and engagement, and direct investments in information security.

"Brad brings nearly 20 years of technology leadership experience in insurance and financial services to Trustmark,” company CEO Joe Pray says in a statement. “Specifically, he has led IT transformations that support business growth strategies by enabling quicker product innovation, improved customer experience through digital solutions and more effective marketing through data management. Trustmark solves complex employee benefit challenges for our customers, and Brad’s expertise, which spans business, operations and technology, is ideally suited to advance that vision.”

Bodell last worked at CNO Financial, the parent company for insurers Bankers Life and Colonial Penn, as SVP and CIO. There, he helped the company enhance its sales force with digital tools and led ITarchitecture, talent development and sourcing efforts. Before that, he was VP of technology and operations for MetLife, where oversaw several multi-year programs to modernize the company’s policy administration systems.
