Wells Insurance Unit Picks Finance Officer

Wells Fargo Insurance Services Inc., a unit of Wells Fargo & Co., has named Todd Wartchow senior finance officer.

Working from Chicago, will direct financial performance and the development of strategic business initiatives. He will also manage finance team members in the preparation of profitability analyses of products, customers and/or business segments and potential new lines of business and acquisitions.

Wartchow is also in charge of developing and maintaining the governance and control structure of Wells Fargo Insurance Services.

Before joining Wells Fargo Insurance Services, Wartchow was a senior vice president and head of the financial management team for Wells Fargo's Los Angeles Metro Community Bank, where he managed nearly 300 branches in Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.

Wells Fargo Insurance Services along with Wachovia Insurance Services is the fifth-largest insurance brokerage company in the world and the largest bank-owned insurance brokerage firm in the U.S.

The appointment was announced Tuesday.
