Allianz X

Global insurer Allianz operates Allianz X in Munich, Germany. The incubator recently spun off its first company, abracar, a car-sales platform.

Plug and Play

Silicon Valley's Plug and Play has seen what it calles unprecedented success with its recently launched insurtech program. The accelerator has run two classes, with the last including more than 20 companies.

Startupbootcamp

The London-based accelerator Startupbootcamp has run an insurtech program in the UK for several years. It recently announced plans to come to Hartford, a city with a rich insurance history, working with 10 to 12 startups per year.

Global Insurance Accelerator

A partnership between the city of Des Moines and several insurers located in that region, the Global Insurance Accelerator has graduated several classes of early-stage startups since its founding in 2015. There were six companies in its 2017 class.

Lumenlab

Metlife launched an innovation center in Singapore called Lumenlab in 2015. The next year, Lumenlab ran a three-month insurtech acceleration program called Collab with eight startups.

Protechting

A collaboration between Portugal's Fidelidade insurance giant, China's Fosun congolmerate and a Lisbon-based innovation organization called Beta-I, Protechting graduated a class of 15 startups last year.

State Auto

This year, State Auto partnered with Rev1 Ventures to launch a $25 million venture fund within its State Auto Labs division.

Solaria Labs

Liberty Mutual opened Solaria Labs in 2015. With locations in Boston and Singapore, the incubator combines startups with Liberty staff to develop new digital products.

DMZ

Aviva Canada partnered with DMZ, a Toronto-based technology networking initiative started by Ryerson University, in 2016 to add insurtech to its portfolio of offerings.
