Digital Insurance is celebrating International Women's Day with this list of women-founded insurtechs from our Meet the Insurtech series. Women still face difficulties getting the crucial funding to get their companies off the ground: as little as 1.9% of all venture funding went to women founders last year. That means this is likely only a sliver of the ideas generated by women in the sector. If you are, or you know, a woman founder who is interested in being profiled for our series, reach out to managing editor Kaitlyn Mattson at kaitlyn.mattson@arizent.com.

[Don't forget to nominate women leaders at insurance carriers, agents and brokers for Women in Insurance Leadership and WIL NEXT.]

"[Customers] are not just interested in the product itself, in the policy," says Alexandra Gladyshevskaya, CEO of Spokk.
