Arch Insurance appoints new chief information officer

Arch Insurance announced Prabhu Venkataraman as its chief information officer. Venkataraman, will be responsible for technology implementation and services, with a focus on data enablement and strategic alignment. Venkataraman was previously SVP, enterprise applications and architecture at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance; he also has held technology leadership positions at MassMutual Financial Group and Hewlett Packard. 

Brian First, president of Arch Insurance North America, said in a statement: "Prabhu's seasoned perspective will be critical as we continue to execute our business technology transformation strategy in support of ongoing strong market demand for Arch's specialty insurance solutions.

Erie Insurance promotes Andy Abramczyk to senior vice president

Erie Insurance announced that Andy Abramczyk, who serves as corporate technology officer and has been with the company for more than 30 years, has been promoted to senior vice president. Abramczyk will lead enterprise infrastructure and operations, including on-site cloud infrastructure, data center and technology operations services and end-user services. 

"Andy's deep knowledge of infrastructure and operations has helped support and maintain a flexible, secure and cost-efficient 24/7 computing environment," said Partha Srinivasa, executive vice president and chief information officer, in a statement. "His contributions have increased overall efficiency, quality, availability and operational resilience within ERIE's technology organization."

Goosehead appoints chief service officer

David Lakamp has been appointed chief service officer at Goosehead Insurance. Lakamp joins the company from USAA and brings about 14 years of insurance experience. He will lead the service organization and support Goosehead's expansion. 

Mark Miller, president and COO at Goosehead Insurance, said in a statement: "Mr. Lakamp joins our company at a time of rapid organizational growth, and his expertise will be invaluable as we continue to exceed client expectations and shape the future of the insurance industry."
