Insurtech Sure has entered an exclusive partnership with Common, a property manager, to help residents get renter's insurance. The partnership integrates Sure's insurance products into the rental process at the time of lease signing using an API. "Our mission at Common is to make city living easier for the renter and providing a seamless rental insurance experience is an essential part of this," says Common VP of Operations Eric Rodriguez. Mapfre insurance and Aerial Technologies are deploying an "ambient technology" platform that uses AI to infer human motion through the distortion of WiFi signals rather than wearable tech. The goal of the platform is to monitor in-home movements and routines of elderly who require care and monitoring. enabling the in-home movements and routines of older people to be closely monitored without invading their privacy.
