AIG Quickly Replacing Departed Execs

The changes at American International Group's executive level lately are happening faster than you can blink. Just days after it was announced that Anastasia Kelly, vice chairman for Legal, Human Resources, Corporate Affairs, and Corporate Communications, and Suzanne Folsom, chief compliance and regulatory officer, had resigned, Bloomberg is reporting that Jeff Hurd and Nicholas Ashooh have been hired to help fill the void.

Hurd, formerly the embattled insurer’s chief administrative officer, was hired to replaced Andrew Kaslow, the previously departed HR chief, according to a memo released yesterday by CEO Robert Benmosche. Filling Hurd's shoes now will be Michael Cowan, a formerly Merrill Lynch's SVP of global corporate services.

Additionally, AIG announced that Nicholas Ashooh, SVP in charge of communications, is resigning to head corporate affairs for Alcoa Inc. Christina Pretto, a spokeswoman who joined AIG last year from Citigroup Inc., will be promoted to his role, Benmosche said.
