Robert Half Technology has published its 2019 Technology Salary Guide, looking at what leading job roles can expect to earn in the coming year. In the area of IT management, CIOs are now approaching $300,000 in earning potential, while the chief security officer role is not far behind. The guide breaks down salary expectations at four percentiles - 95th, 75th, 50th and 25th - which admittedly reveal a wide range on the salary chart. Here's what professionals working in IT management nd in IT security will be earning.

The Robert Half Technology report looks at four top overall IT management roles, as well as a few management jobs in various specialty areas. In general IT, the four top jobs can now earn over $200,000 each, with the highest paid CIOs at nearly $300,000.
