Nationwide has engaged CLARA Analytics’ software in its workers’ compensation claims department. The components include Triage, which helps managers monitor complex claims; and Treatment, which helps identify the most ideal health care providers for each claim. CLARA has scored providers in different specialties across multiple locations, the company says.

Mobilitas Insurance, a subsidiary of CSAA Insurance Group, is providing commercial insurance coverage for Cruise, which is building a fleet of self-driving electric cars for use in cities. Brokered by Marsh, the insurance agreement is a step towards a coming commercial launch for Cruise.

CCC Intelligent Solutions, a claims technology provider, has acquired Safekeep, an insurtech that developed a digital platform for subrogation. Terms were not disclosed. Safekeep applies a combination of machine learning, natural-language processing, rules, and predictive models to score and prioritize subrogation claims. It also has document digitalization and workflow automation.
