Columbus Life Eyes iPipeline Software for Better Customer, Agent Communication

Columbus Life Insurance Company will now automate policy delivery using iPipeline’s DocFast software, in efforts to improve communication between agents and its customers. The insurer has opted for a cloud-based deployment of the product.

“As a progressive carrier, we advocate leveraging innovative technology that makes doing business faster, easier and more effective for our producers and customers,” said Steve Sanders, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Columbus Life Insurance, in a press release. “We see DocFast e-Delivery enabling us to improve agent and consumer two-way communications and simplifying the policy issuance process by virtually eliminating the paper distributions over time. We see this significantly reducing the time it takes to issue and place a policy in force which will be a major benefit to all parties.”

DocFast allows agents to digitally send policies and critical business documents in real time to clients. Rapid digital delivery and two-way communication also allows them to collect requirements more easily. Columbus Life Insurance, based in Cincinnati, provides personal life, retirement and business planning solutions through a nationwide network of independent representatives.
