QBE Implements Guidewire for Core

QBE Insurance Australia has deployed Guidewire’s policy admin system for its data management and business intelligence needs, the company announced today.

Guidewire’s tech will enable the insurer to increase efficiency and productivity through the standardization of all services, including billing and claims management, on a single platform. The software is said to also improve speed to market by reducing the time needed to train staff, the companies said.

“We are excited about the opportunities Guidewire will give our business to provide flexible products and pricing while delivering an enhanced customer experience,” said Helen Longland, program director of the core insurance program and IT services at QBE Australia.

Both Guidewire and Ernst & Young in Australia helped facilitate the implementation. QBE joins fellow insurers Zurich, Nationwide and RSA Canada as Guidewire customers.
