Kelly Mathieson

Custody and Clearance Business Executive

Kelly A. Mathieson is the Business Executive for the Worldwide Securities Services (WSS) Custody & Clearing business, where she is responsible for custody and clearing services for the approximately $16trl in assets of the global client base, across more than 100 markets and trading venues around the world, including the important strategic build out of direct custody and clearing markets, foreign exchange and custody cash management. Since joining Chase in 1990, Ms. Mathieson has held increasingly significant management responsibilities. Prior positions include Business Executive for Clearance & Collateral Management, Business Executive for Structured Finance Services, Senior Operating Officer of J.P. Morgan Invest, Inc., WSS Investment Products Business Executive, President of Chase Futures & Options Clearing and marketing and product structuring within Chase’s Managed Funds Group. Throughout, Ms. Mathieson was responsible for a variety of product management and development, business restructuring, operating and client management activities. Before joining Chase, Ms. Mathieson was employed by Goldman, Sachs & Co. from 1987-1990, in the Money Markets division. Ms. Mathieson is an active leader in J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.’s women’s leadership and diversity initiatives. She has served as a Director of the Board of the Financial Women’s Association of New York since 1994 and was the organization’s President in 2004-05. Through these organizations, she enjoys focusing her time on microfinance activities. Ms. Mathieson was named to American Banker’s 2011 Top 25 Women to Watch list and was also the 2011 recipient of Traders Magazine’s Wall Street Women: Trailblazer Award. She received an MBA degree from New York University’s Stern School of Business in May 1990 and a BS degree in Management from the State of New York University at Binghamton in May 1987.
