Assurant buys Fixt, AF Group expands insurtech partners: Roundup

Assurant has acquired Fixt, a provider of on-demand mobile device support and repair scheduling. Fixt's network of more than 1,500 technicians will be integrated with Assurant's fulfillment platform.

Sapiens has partnered with Gradient AI to incorporate the latter's technology into its workers' compensation underwriting and claims platforms. The partnership will eventually work its way into personal lines products, Sapiens says. “Predictive analytics are already significantly impacting business operations and the customer experience in the insurance industry,” said Roni Al-Dor, president and CEO, Sapiens. “Integrating AI capabilities into our core workers’ compensation suites will empower insurers to better forecast future probabilities via real-time insights."

Claim Central Consolidated has hired WeGoLook co-founders Robin Roberson and Kenneth Knoll as managing directors. The executives left the company they started after its acquisition by Crawford & Co. Claim Central's ClaimLogik suite is designed for carriers, adjusters and TPAs and poweres virtual inspections and repair monitoring.
