Erie Insurance EVP of claims, customer service to retire: Career moves

Crum & Forster announced the promotion of Joseph Muccia to Chief Financial Officer of its Accident and Health Division. Muccia, who joined the company in 2009, was previously vice president of operations.

In this new role, he will lead investment and acquisitions for the division. "As the C&F Accident & Health Division continues to expand its captive business and capabilities, Joe will lead all financial related duties pertaining to this diversified portfolio," said Gary McGeddy, president of Crum & Forster Accident & Health, in a statement. "Joe will hold a pivotal role in the continued success and growth of the A&H Division."
Lorianne "LA" Feltz will retire as executive vice president of claims and customer service at Erie Insurance in May next year. Feltz, who has been with the company since 1989, started working in policy processing, part-time as a student. She has held several leadership roles including senior vice president of agency and marketing and senior vice president of customer service.

The company is currently searching for her replacement. Erie Insurance President and CEO Tim NeCastro said in a statement: "During her time with ERIE, LA has developed meaningful connections with countless employees, agents and customers and I'm especially heartened by the ways she has helped support and develop our employees. LA is passionate about women in leadership and has been an exceptional champion for diversity, equity and inclusion. She has also given countless hours to mentoring others throughout her tenure and has been a role model who inspires others to believe in themselves."
Markel appointed Chris Conyard as its digital and portfolio executive in distribution strategies and business development. Conyard, who joins the company from AIG, will work with underwriting and business development to support operations and growth. He will also lead and develop the company's distribution strategy. Conyard previously worked at Chubb for over a decade in senior underwriting and distribution roles.

This role represents a step change in our approach. Professional services firm, Marsh McLennan, has appointed Susan Potter as U.S. and Canada commercial officer. Potter will focus on driving client-centric initiatives and will work with teams across Marsh, Mercer, Guy Carpenter and Oliver Wyman to provide exceptional customer experiences.

Potter has more than 25 years of commercial and public sector consulting, management and leadership experience, and previously worked at Mercer and Willis Towers Watson. Pat Tomlinson, Marsh McLennan U.S. and Canada CEO and president of Mercer, said in a statement, "We are fortunate to have Susan assume this new role. Her exceptional leadership experience, combined with her deep knowledge of Marsh and Mercer's comprehensive suite of solutions and capabilities, will play a pivotal role in unlocking the full potential of Marsh McLennan's offerings for our clients."
Insurance broker and risk advisor Marsh, a business of Marsh McLennan, has announced the launch of a new cyber practice that integrates the firm's global capabilities including insurance, risk intelligence, incident management and cybersecurity. The new practice will be led by Tom Reagan, who is currently cyber practice leader, U.S. and Canada, Marsh Specialty. As the global specialty head of cyber, Marsh Specialty, the New York-based Reagan will be tasked with delivering transactional and advisory services worldwide to help clients identify and manage their cyber risks. 

Marsh has also appointed Meredith Schnur, the current cyber brokerage leader, U.S. and Canada, to succeed Reagan and lead the company's U.S. and Canada cyber practice.

In addition, Greg Eskins, Marsh's current cyber product leader U.S. and Canada, has been tapped to lead the new Global Cyber Insurance Center, which oversees the development and dissemination of cyber insurance solutions to address the constantly emerging global risks in this space.
The Ascot Group appointed Elizabeth Duncan as Ascot Bermuda chief financial officer and group controller, where she will continue to handle her responsibilities as financial controller and assume accountability for all financial activities for the firm's Bermuda entity. Duncan joined Ascot in 2018, and previously held positions at Enstar Group Limited and KPMG.
