Everest, The Hanover, Nationwide, Chubb: Career moves

Everest names Srini Maddineni, current SVP and Global CIO for insurance and reinsurance systems, as chief information officer. Maddineni will succeed Terry Walker, who will retire at the end of the first quarter. "Today's increasingly complex risk environment demands cutting-edge technology to help our clients navigate their most pressing challenges," said Juan C. Andrade, Everest president and CEO, in a statement. "Terry has built an exceptional technology function and we are grateful for his outstanding contributions over the past several years. I am confident that Srini, along with his best-in-class team, is perfectly suited to advance our global IT capabilities and vision for the future."

The Hanover Insurance Group hires David J. Lovely as executive vice president and chief claims officer. Lovely, who joins the company from PwC, will lead claims experience strategy. "David is an accomplished claims and insurance leader who brings more than 35 years of visionary leadership, operational execution and transformation expertise for enhancing employee and customer experiences," said John C. Roche, president and chief executive officer at The Hanover, in a statement. "We are pleased to have attracted such an accomplished claims leader to our organization. Together with our talented team, we will continue to advance our claims servicing and tools to best serve our customers and agents."

Church Mutual announces Alan S. Ogilvie as its new president. Ogilvie and current president and CEO, Rich Poirier, who will retain his position as CEO, will work together until January 2024. "After vetting an incredible, diverse array of talented, highly qualified insurance industry leaders from around the country, the clear choice was Alan," Poirier said in a statement. "He will protect the legacy of this company, while also moving Church Mutual boldly forward."

Tony Beal will lead Nationwide's National Partners team, a division responsible for managing distribution partner relationships. "Tony's Nationwide experience, his leadership roles at several top quartile national P&C carriers and his time as a national broker made him the perfect person to lead this very successful team and continue the important work that NNP does for our partners every day," said Peter McMurtrie, president of Nationwide's Commercial Lines business, in a statement.

Chubb announces Margaret Peloso as senior vice president, Chubb Group and global climate officer and executive director of the Chubb Charitable Foundation. Peloso will be responsible for climate-related strategies. "Chubb is engaged in research and advocacy on climate issues, both internally and externally, through industry institutions and international organizations," said Joseph Wayland, executive vice president and general counsel, Chubb Group, in a statement. "Maggie's expertise and perspective will be critical as we further deepen our understanding of how underwriting policies can facilitate the reduction of GHG emissions, and as we continue to work actively to advance our industry's expertise in climate change mitigation and adaptation."
