Liberty Mutual has promoted Wesley Hyatt to Chief Client Officer of Global Risk Solutions. In her new role, Hyatt will lead the Client Executive team and oversees the US Client Service team. She was a Digital Insurance Women in Insurance Leadership winner in 2020 in her previous role as SVP of workers' compensation claims.
Allianz Life has announced that Jasmine Jirele has been named president and CEO. She succeeds Walter White, who will retire December 31, in the role. Jirele has served as Allianz Life’s chief growth officer since 2018, where she is responsible for defining the company’s growth strategy, including its expansion into new markets, and leading product innovation, marketing, communications, Allianz Ventures and enterprise agile. This is her second stint with the company; prior to re-joining Allianz Life in 2018, Jirele was an executive vice president within Wells Fargo's Consumer Bank division. White will step away from the role on Sept. 1 before leaving the company for good in December.
AmeriLife Group has hired Galya Appell as SVP of strategy and innovation. She will lead the design, planning, execution, and integration of AmeriLife's business strategies, reporting to COO Tim Calvert. She last was a partner at Boston Consulting Group.
Buckle, an insurtech for gig economy workers, has named James Camerino as Head of Strategic Partnerships. He last was COO of Everest Re; before that, he was an SVP at Munich Re where he held claim, legal, and underwriting leadership positions. “We are looking forward to Jim supporting Buckle’s revenue generating go-to-market strategic plan, which includes managing general agents (MGAs), reinsurance, and mergers and acquisitions,” says Sharon Fernandez, head of Buckle’s Insurance Division. “His experience is a tremendous asset that will help us expand our capabilities and serve a broader customer base."

Cover Genius, a distribution-focused insurtech, has promoted Darcy Shapiro to COO for the Americas and Amir Massoudi to the newly created position of Global Chief Revenue Officer. Shapiro initially joined Cover Genius in 2018 to lead insurance partnerships and legal in North America, Canada and Latin American markets. Massoudi last was SVP of analytics and partner services for the company; his new role controls partner integrations, account management, mid-market sales and various growth and margin expansion initiatives.
