Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company has named Glenton Davis as head of corporate strategy. Davis will lead corporate strategy and customer and market intelligence. Davis was previously senior director, global head of strategic partnerships for Cboe Global Markets. "Glenton's breadth of experience in the strategy and transformation space will add both value and depth to our business strategy and planning process," said Betsy Ward, MassMutual's Chief Financial Officer, in a statement. "With a proven ability to create connectivity and drive collaboration, Glenton will be instrumental in helping differentiate MassMutual from key competitors through the monitoring of global industries, markets, opportunities and trends – all in support of our purpose of helping people secure their future and protect the ones they love."
The Hartford names the head of middle & large commercial business units. Tracey Ant will start in January in the newly created role. Ant will oversee the business units and underwriting for several industries. Ant has 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. She began her career as a casualty underwriter at The Hartford. Gretchen Thompson will replace Ant, who currently leads the middle & large commercial general industries, technology, life science and large property.
Chubb appoints Bill Hazelton, who currently and will continue to serve as real estate & hospitality industry practice leader, as EVP, head of North America industry practices. In the newly created role, Hazelton will enhance the company's insurance coverages, risk engineering and claims services to customers in all markets. John Lupica, vice chairman, Chubb Group and president, North America, said in a statement: "Bill comes to this role with a deep understanding of Chubb's network of distribution partners, the unique needs of our mutual clients, and all that Chubb has to offer them. Fortitude Re, a global reinsurer, announced Denise Nichols as its chief human resources officer. Nichols, who has served as chief human resource officer at Voya Health and Wealth Solutions, will succeed Amanda Stewart who is assuming a SVP, employee experience role. Fortitude Re Chief Executive Officer Alon Neches said in a statement: "Denise is an exceptionally talented executive with a strong track record of driving value for employees and all stakeholders with her strategic approach to building high performance teams and cultures. Berkshire Hathaway names Pedro Mairos, who joined the company in 2019, as global underwriting officer, marine. "Our large global footprint coupled with the substantial growth of our Marine business made now the optimal time to deepen the global leadership of our marine underwriting team worldwide," said Chief Underwriting Officer, Property & Marine, BHSI, Dean LaPierre, in a statement. "We are pleased to have such a deep bench of talent across both underwriting and claims to service our marine customers and brokers in local markets around the globe."
Aflac announces Eric M. Kirsch, global chief investment officer and president of global investments, will retire. Bradley E. Dyslin will take over the position in January. Kirsch will serve as executive vice president in transition before retiring in March. Frederick J. Crawford, Aflac Incorporated president and chief operating officer, said in a statement: "Eric has distinguished himself as an outstanding partner and accomplished leader who has grounded our portfolio with a robust strategic asset allocation process. CCC names Michael Silva as chief commercial and customer success officer. Silva will oversee innovative outcomes for customers. Silva most recently worked as senior vice president, financial services at Salesforce. Githesh Ramamurthy, chairman & CEO of CCC, said in a statement: "Mike brings deep experience and a proven track record as a strategic technology and business leader.
