Erie Insurance has hired Varun Kumar as VP of Experience, Billing & Payments, effective May 9. Kumar last worked at the global logistics company Flexport, where he led vision, strategy, objectives and key results, and development and execution of a complex marketplace and financial platform. Before that, he was director of platform for CaaStle, Inc., director of product management for Aria Systems, director of product management and strategy for Huawei and senior product manager for Amdocs.
Pan-American Life Insurance Group has promoted Frank Recio to EVP, Operations and Technology, a newly created position. Recio will lead the continued advancement of PALIG's digitalization with an elevated focus on leveraging technology and innovation as the key enablers of PALIG's corporate and business operations, including policyholder services and processes. He last was the company's SVP of International Business Technology and Operations. Recio will take over responsibilities held by CIO Miguel Edwards, who left the company.

Chubb has appointed Annmarie Camp as North America Business Development Leader. This is a new role for her; Camp had been Head of Personal Risk Services for Chubb in Europe. Now she is responsible for providing oversight to the business development team that represents and sells Chubb commercial lines products and services in North America. Before joining Chubb, she held marketing and sales roles at AIG Private Client Group and Progressive Insurance.

NEXT Insurance has hired Jack Ramsey to lead the company's agent channel as VP of Agents. Ramsey began his career as a Nationwide agent. He also ran sales, marketing and communications at Allstate Business Insurance and was head of sales for CNA Small Business. "To better serve small businesses, we must work closely with their trusted agent partners, and we believe our digital strategy can help deliver a heightened, simpler experience for them. We are excited to have Jack Ramsey lead our agent channel and believe with his appointment, NEXT is taking an important step toward supporting the agent community" Guy Goldstein, CEO and co-founder of NEXT, said in a statement.
