The Hartford announces Shekar Pannala, who was most recently the global CIO of Chubb, as its chief information officer for property & casualty. In the newly created role, Pannala will lead technology for the company's personal, small commercial and middle & large commercial business lines. Before Chubb, Pannala was the chief technology officer at S&P Global. "We are on a mission to bring the power and scale of leading-edge technologies to shape the future of insurance for our customers. Shekar's impressive credentials in technology delivery, customer experience and digital transformation, will help accelerate our digital transformation in the property and casualty business," said The Hartford's Chief Information Officer Deepa Soni, who Pannala will report to, in a statement.
Erie Insurance appoints four new vice presidents within diversity, equity and inclusion and workplace services and information technology. Gwen White has been promoted vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion. Morgan Twombly has been promoted to vice president, workplace services. Sean Bebko has been named vice president, information technology. Bebko will lead the company's digital transformation. Gary Rajkumar is the new vice president, information technology. He will lead IT modernization at the company.
Embroker hires Chris Spagnuolo as its chief product officer. He will be responsible for developing innovative insurance products. Spagnuolo was most recently the CPO at Wander, a digital mapping and marketing company. "Embroker is a true innovator in the insurtech space that passionately believes, as I do, in developing products with the customer at the very center of that framework," said Spagnuolo, in a statement.
