Travelers has announced a partnership with Westhill to give customers who file property claims in select states access to Westhill’s digital platform, which will allow them to communicate with contractors in their area, easily select the best ones for their needs and track key milestones during the repair process. Jim Wucherpfennig, Vice President of Property Claims at Travelers says, “Our goal is always to provide the best possible service throughout the entire claim experience, from the time the claim is reported through the completion of repairs.”
Nationwide has joined Vertafore’s Commercial Submissions platform fot commercial lines products. The platform connects the end-insured, agents and carriers for simplified, real-time quoting on commercial policies. It works within Vertafore's agency management systems, allowing agents to significantly reduce time spent quoting commercial insurance coverage. Kasey Ketcham, associate vice president of Product and Underwriting Enablement at Nationwide shares, "Partnering with Vertafore allows Nationwide to streamline processes for our agents, enabling them to generate quotes, issue new business, and service customers, resulting in agency speed, ease, and efficiency.” Nationwide and Vertafore will collaborate to optimize the API connection between the two partners and to optimize the workflow for independent agents.
Next Insurance has acquired AP Intego, a company that helps distrubute insurance products through integration with small business administration software like Intuit, Gusto, Square and Toast. Carpe Data and Unqork have joined up to provide the former's fraud analytics into the latter's no-code software platform. Unqork is tapping into Carpe Data Minerva, to help better classify and evaluate commercial risk; and ClaimsX, to automate and accelerate the claims-handling process. Azuga, a connected vehicle platform for fleets, has acquired Mobikit, an insurance data science and analytics company. The latter brings deeper analysis capability to integration with the former's data collection platform, providing a wider range of services to client insurers and fleets.
