Cincinnati Financial Corp. Names New IT Leadership

Cincinnati Financial Corp. announced its newly structured technology leadership team, which will be comprised of the newly created chief information officer and a chief technology officer positions.

John Kellington will join The Cincinnati Insurance Cos. on March 29, 2010, as SVP and CIO. Reporting directly to the CEO, Kellington will be responsible for developing, planning and implementing an enterprise strategic technology vision and for all activities of the company's IT department.

Kellington's counterpart, Craig Forrester, CLU, Cincinnati's SVP of IT since 2002, will assume the role of chief technology officer, reporting to the CIO. In this new role, Forrester will focus on monitoring new technologies and their potential to become new products or services, as well as managing the company's computer and hardware environment.

Kellington previously was SVP of ACORD, where he was responsible for developing global insurance standards relating to life insurance and annuities, property/casualty insurance and reinsurance. He managed IT, corporate finance and membership for ACORD.

From 2001 to 2007, he was SVP and CIO of the Ohio Casualty Group, serving on the executive management team and transforming its IT operation into an organization with nationally recognized capabilities.
