The HIT Standards Committee is reminding stakeholders that the deadline is June 17 to comment on the temporary electronic health records certification program being used to support Stage 1 of the meaningful use program.
The committee's implementation workgroup is looking for industry feedback on how the temporary program was established and has operated. This includes the processes for establishing the authorized testing entities, communicating testing and certification criteria, and testing and certifying EHR products.
The implementation workgroup expects during mid-summer to submit recommendations for the EHR certification program that will support Stage 2.
