Liberty Mutual’s New IT Operation Creates 100 Jobs

In October 2010, Liberty Mutual broke ground on a 22-story, 590,000 square-foot office building in Boston as the company expands its global headquarters. Now, it announced a new Information Technology Development Center that will be housed at the headquarters and is looking for employees to join the operation.

“We have begun the process to hire 100 people who will work in full-time positions supporting the Center’s operations,” John Cusolito, VP & manager - External Relations at Liberty Mutual, tells INN.

The new IT positions are a mixture of entry-level and experienced roles for software developers, project managers and architects who will work with both mainstream and innovative technologies, including Web and mobile development and cloud computing.

"Our IT operations are critically important to Liberty Mutual's future success as a global insurer, and we look forward to attracting some of the best and brightest minds from the area's universities and deep IT talent pool," Edmund Kelly, Liberty Mutual chairman and CEO, said in a statement.

The Boston IT Development Center joins Liberty Mutual’s four others in Dover and Portsmouth, N.H, Indianapolis, and Seattle.
