MetLife has deployed the Workfront Enterprise Work Management platform to streamline project management, application delivery, and system maintenance.

Workfront replaced a system under which MetLife project managers used spreadsheets and emails to track thousands of requests. The insurer also uses Workfront's time and cost-tracking capabilities to evaluate vendor pricing against value, to better understand how its vendors were spending time on specific projects related to mission-critical system support. "We were spending north of a million dollars a year with a support vendor before we began tracking time and activities in the Workfront platform," explained Rodney Henson, director of Salesforce.com Strategy at MetLife. "After calculating actual approved hours, we were able to cut our costs in half." Henson says that other benefits of the Workfront system include clear, real-time dashboarding for end users.
