New York Life Upgrades Mobile Offerings

New York-based New York Life Insurance Co. has added new mobile enhancements to its Virtual Service Center (VSC), a customer self-service Web site.

The changes are intended to enable policy owners and account owners to view information in a form that is automatically optimized for viewing on their mobile device by screen size and resolution. Customers can get detailed information about their insurance policies and annuities, including cash value, premium payment, and beneficiary information as well as transfer funds, change future payments, and alter investment allocations.

“We are pleased to offer expanded digital capabilities, giving our policy owners access to their account 24/7 with one click on the VSC login button on www.NewYorkLife.com from their mobile devices,” Kenneth Hittel, VP of the corporate internet department at New York Life said in a statement. “Giving policy owners the ability to manage their account through these safe and secure functions represents our continued commitment to providing ongoing superior customer service and mobile innovation in the industry.”
