The greatest obstacles insurance leaders face in workforce changes

Research from Digital Insurance, conducted during January and February 2025, reveals deeper insights into how insurance companies are currently addressing or planning to address employee skill gaps and talent challenges in the insurance industry.

Insurance leaders identified limited budgets, difficulty in attracting qualified talent and resistance to change as the greatest areas their companies face in adapting to workforce changes such as staffing shortages, evolving employee preferences or skills gaps. Employees with less than 20 years of experience in their role are more likely to say that their company struggles to adapt because of a resistance to change.
