Maryland was the first state to ban the practice, on Oct. 31, 2014.
Ohio
Ohio followed suit on Jan. 29, 2015.
California
California was next, on Feb. 18, 2015.
Florida
Florida issued its bulletin on May 15, 2015.
Vermont
Vermont was next, on June 24, 2015.
Washington
Washington's advisory was issued July 9, 2015.
Indiana
Indiana issued an advisory on July 20, 2015.
Maine
Maine Bulletin 405 on Price Optimization and Elasticity of Demand was posted August 24, 2015.
Pennsylvania
The Keystone State posted its bulletin on Aug. 31, 2015.
Washington, D.C.
The nation's capital banned the practice on Aug. 31, 2015.
Rhode Island
Rhode Island was next, on Sept. 15, 2015.
Montana
Montana's bulletin was issued on Sept. 18, 2015.
Delaware
On Oct. 15, 2015, Delaware announced a pending ban.
Colorado
Colorado joined the list on Oct. 29, 2015.
Minnesota
Minnesota was next, on Nov. 16, 2015.
Connecticut
Connecticut banned price optimization on Dec. 4, 2015.
Alaska
Alaska followed quickly, on Dec. 8, 2015
Missouri
Missouri is the only state to ban price optimization so far in 2016, doing so on January 12.
