Celent names Jamie Macgregor CEO

Celent, an insurance and financial services technology advisory and research firm, has named Jamie Macgregor CEO of the company. He replaces Craig Weber who had held the position since 2012.

Macgregor joined Celent in 2011 and has led the company’s insurance team as SVP since 2013. He recently oversaw the launch of Celent Digital Services, a series of online tools targeted at mapping and reporting on the financial services technology landscape. Macgregor is charged with introducing new digital services and market development.

“Technology is fundamentally changing our clients’ businesses,” said Ted Moynihan, Managing Partner of Financial Services within Oliver Wyman. “They have an urgent need to better understand how, and to get help with the increasingly complex technology decisions they need to make as a result. Under Jamie’s leadership, Celent is well-placed to help our clients navigate this change and do so from within a more digital model.”

Weber had been with Celent since 2002.

“I’d very much like to thank Craig Weber for his years of committed service to, and leadership of the Celent business," added Moynihan. “Craig is a highly valued colleague and friend to everyone in the firm, and someone I have always found to be intensely trustworthy and committed.”
