Pennsylvania and Indiana Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Companies have successfully deployed Insurity SIMS Claims as part of their broader cloud for core replacement project, the companies announced today.

PLM and ILM began modernizing legacy systems more than six years ago. Prior to the implementation of SIMS Claims, the commercial insurers utilized two separate claims systems, leading adjusters to access multiple systems to work on a single claim, according to the company's SVP of IT Joseph McGurrin.

“We’ve brought over to SIMS eight years of claims history, all open claims and all the documents tied to open claims, so our adjusters have all the information they need in one place,” said McGurrin. “Our adjusters enjoy its contemporary design; it’s much more user-friendly than the green-screen legacy systems used in the past.

As part of the agreement, PLM and ILM also adopt new online portals, data analysis capabilities to help identify problems, and the full Microsoft Office suite. The insurer rounds out Insurity's latest announced client agreements, including Atain Insurance, FFVA Mutual, and Atlas General Insurance.
