Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company has selected Guidewire Software’s InsuranceSuite platform to manage its policy admin, claims and underwriting processes, the companies announced today.
Guidewire’s products will enable Grinnell Mutual to bring new products to market quickly and standardize core operations on a single technology platform while improving the customer experience, the companies said.
The reinsurer will begin integration of Guidewire’s systems in its home state of Iowa with its personal lines of business. Following initial deployment, Grinnell Mutual will expand the vendor's services to other states. Cynosure, a Guidewire PartnerConnect member, will lead the implementation.
“This is the biggest organizational transformation we have ever sought to achieve, so it was extremely important that our business and technology stakeholders were involved in the decision-making process,” said Roby Shay, Grinnell Mutual vice president, enterprise solutions, and chief information officer, in a statement. "After an intensive evaluation process, we selected Guidewire because we wanted a fully integrated suite of products to improve operational effectiveness, efficiency, and customer service."
