3 State-Based Exchanges Select Financial Management System

Three state-based health insurance marketplaces or exchanges have selected Healthation, a provider of core administrative systems for health care payers and administrators, to deliver technology infrastructure. The names of the customers were not made immediately available. The system is expected to perform various financial management functions, including invoice generation, invoice aggregation, premium collection, premium processing and disbursement.

Healthation’s system includes Advance Premium Tax Credits (APTC) and Cost Sharing Reductions (CSR) management, marketplace administrative fees processing, and Individual and Small Employer Health Options Program (SHOP) enrollment and eligibility processing.

“The selection of the Healthation platform by three state-based marketplaces is testament to their confidence in our ability and the value of our advanced financial management capabilities, and we are pleased to have been designated to deliver it to this critical component of the Affordable Care Act,” said Darin LeGrange, president and CEO, Healthation. “Moreover, we are delighted to be partnering with a world-class systems integrator on these implementations to ensure that our shared customers meet the October 1st, 2013 deadline for all marketplaces to begin accepting enrollment.”
