Accenture Releases New Versions of Duck Creek P&C Software

Accenture has released new versions of its policy administration, claims management and billing software for P&C insurers, intended to support faster development of insurance products, increase speed to market and improve ease of use for the carrier, agents and policyholders, the company said.

“The ability to recognize and capitalize on industry changes will separate the winners from the others,” said Michael Jackowski, global managing director of Accenture Software for P&C Insurance. “Delivering new customer insights, insurance products and enhanced services at speed is clearly the new lifeblood. To that end, we have enhanced our software with configuration and third party integration capabilities to make them easier to implement and to change. We have also implemented several processes to enable our customers to be the highest performing insurers in the industry.”

Enhancements to Duck Creek Billing, release 5.2, include:

A new workflow interface and user navigation, intended to increase productivity of both technical and non-technical users.

Commission options, intended to enable carriers to customize agent commission plans.

Billing configurability, intended to help carriers manage non-standard billing situations, including policy cancellations, out-of-cycle bill types, renewal plan changes and payments.

 

Enhancements to Duck Creek Claim Components, release 10.3, include:

Larger library of integration adapters and accelerators, intended to enable faster and more efficient integration with third-party applications.

Enhancements to codeless configuration, intended to allow for more flexibility in customizing business-event definition and workflows and facilitate system-behavior changes.

Configuration management tools, intended to drive faster, more cost-efficient upgrades.

Injury benefit processing and financial authority options, intended to facilitate better financial management.

 

Enhancements to Duck Creek Policy Administration, release 5.2, include:

New product modeling features within Accenture Duck Creek Product Studio; a product lifecycle management component , intended to allow business users to experiment with product changes, potentially enabling new products to market faster.

Updated Duck Creek Templates, intended to accelerate and simplify loading ISO circulars and rule updates for the U.S. market. Also, installation of multiple lines of business can now be automated, helping reduce update time.
