Agencyport Software, a provider of web-based solutions for P&C insurers, announced the immediate general availability of AgencyPortal5, an insurance distribution automation application for all lines of P&C insurance.

AgencyPortal 5 is a centralized platform for all distribution channels and is intended to meet the heightened expectations that agents and policyholders have for quoting, binding and self-service capabilities, available online on any device. AgencyPortal 5 is intended to offer carriers the technology to handle varied demands, differentiate their brand in the market and centrally manage how their insurance products are represented to those audiences, the company said.

The company says features include:

  • A streamlined user interface for Agents
  • A web-based toolkit for carriers to manage and configure the software
  • ACORD templates

Pre-integration capabilities with:

  • Most agency management systems and comparative raters
  • Agencyport's ACORD-form-to-data service, Turnstile
  • Guidewire PolicyCenter
  • LexisNexis Commercial Auto Data Prefill
  • Valen predictive analytics

AgencyPortal 5 was built using HTML5 and optimized to enhance underwriting accuracy and make it easier and faster for agents and consumers to do business with insurance carriers, the company said.
"We built this platform incorporating 15 years of experience working with carriers and listening to agents and consumers about the key elements that drive efficiency and growth," said Michael Albert, head of R&D for Agencyport. "A clean, intuitive user-centric experience; built-in integration with key P&C data and service sources; and the flexibility to expand and change courses easily were what we heard most often, and they serve as the foundation for the solution.”
