Alabama Workers' Compensation Self-Insurance Fund has selected Tropics Breeze for the complete replacement of all core systems. Tropics Breeze is a product of Tropics Software Technologies, a workers' compensation software company.
Alabama Workers' Compensation Self-Insurance Fund (AlaCOMP) chose the Tropics software for its functionality and the company’s experience in the workers' compensation industry. The provision of an integrated core policy, billing and claims system under a web-based architecture was seen as an advantage.
Tropics' self-service web portals for agents and policyholders and its Business Intelligence system will be implemented for AlaCOMP. AlaCOMP also will use the integrated productivity tools from Tropics Breeze. These include integrated email messaging, a rules engine, workflow management, document generation, and document imaging.
