Alberta Motor Association (AMA) has selected Guidewire Software, Inc.’s InsuranceSuite platform for policy admin, underwriting, claims management and billing.
The membership organization, serving Alberta and Canada’s Northwest Territories, will implement the new technology with help from the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA), which also uses Guidewire tech for its personal auto and property lines of business.
“We initially relied heavily on the recommendation to select Guidewire software by our sister association CAA, based on their own positive experience,” said Collin Moody, vice president and chief information officer at AMA. “However, once we were able to dive deeper into the technology, the merits of InsuranceSuite stood on their own.”
AMA hopes to modernize its core system infrastructure and address the needs of its agents and customers. The organization will now be able to manage and provide easier access to core system data as well provide customers with online quoting, according to the companies. Additionally, Guidewire’s PartnerConnect system and IT provider Thunderhead will provide AMA with improved customer communications services.
