On Tuesday, June 4, the Association of Professional Insurance Women (APIW) formally recognized
The award, presented annually since 1976, recognizes a woman who has achieved prominence in her profession and made significant contributions to the insurance industry. Ms. Lamm-Tennant accepted the award at a ceremony on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the New York Marriott Marquis.
Lamm-Tennant has more than 35 years of experience in the insurance industry. In her role as the Global Chief Economist & Risk Strategist she advisesexecutives and directors on emerging trends in advanced and developing economies, corporate strategy, risk and capital management and governance.

Lamm-Tennant holds a Ph.D. in Finance and Investments from the University of Texas, Austin, and also serves on the Board of Directors for Selective Insurance Group, Inc.; and the International Insurance Society, and previously sat on the Board of Ivans, Inc.
All APIW Insurance Woman of the Year Award nominations are solicited from an independent Woman of the Year Committee appointed by the APIW Immediate Past President. The committee includes up to six professionals representing various industry sectors, including the current Woman of the Year award recipient.
