Aviva Selects Guidewire for U.K. Business

Aviva UK has selected PolicyCenter from Guidewire Software Inc, a provider of core system software to P&C insurers, as its underwriting and policy administration solution. Aviva also will use Guidewire’s ClaimCenter as its claims management system for its core U.K. commercial lines business.

Aviva sought to replace its existing claims and policy systems with one platform giving it the potential to streamline its underwriting, policy administration and claims management operations for its U.K. general insurance operations, according to Guidewire. Aviva hopes to increase its business agility and bring new products to market more quickly in an attempt to help it meet its IT and business goals.

According to Guidewire, PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter will help Aviva leverage underwriting and claims-handling best practices; increase its business agility for long-term growth and changes; create operational efficiencies through the consolidation of disparate systems; and enhance user experience and self-sufficiency with functionality and features.
