DOCULEX UPGRADES IMAGING AND CONTENT MANAGEMENT
DocuLex Inc., a Winter Haven, Fla.-based content management software provider, has released its Office Capture 4 software upgrade. Office Capture is a Windows-based desktop application.
Designed to be used with TWAIN-driven production and desktop scanners, digital copiers/MFPs, facsimile and wide format scanning units, Office Capture is a moderate-volume document scanning, content indexing and image processing software program for users who desire a simple solution to quickly convert business documents to electronic files, archived and available on local and remote networks for storage and retrieval, the company says.
New features include enhanced optical character recognition and barcode reading capabilities, plus numerous document correction capabilities. The user interface is designed to be more intuitive, and includes new production-oriented improvements to promote higher user productivity.
Many additional barcode types have been added, with a new smart installer that can be used for ease of implementing the program's periodic updates.
DATA WAREHOUSE WITH PRE-BUILT DASHBOARD AND REPORTING APPLICATIONS
Oracle Insurance, Redwood Shores, Calif., announced the availability of Oracle Insurance Insight 6.0, an insurance-specific data warehouse that now leverages Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition for dashboards and analytics.
The latest release leverages the scalable, modern architecture of Oracle's business intelligence middleware to enable insurers to deploy a complete, warehouse-to-analytics, insurance-specific business intelligence solution.
The warehouse and pre-built analytics in this release are designed to provide insurers with the flexibility required to perform cross-functional relationship reporting, such as combined policy and claims data analysis.
Insurers also can drill down to a specific line of business or coverage attribute for expanded insight.
