BPM Consortium Issues Call for Participation

Insurers have an opportunity to present and discuss experiences, recommendations and visions on the ways a business can most effectively plan and deliver on the benefits of business process management (BPM). Business Process Management Consortium (BPM-C) issued a Call for Participation for the BPM Information Days, to be held in San Antonio, Texas, on Sept. 15-16, 2009. BPM-C is an OMG managed group.

The BPM Information Day is one in a series of on-going events looking at ways that management of business processes can yield benefits for enterprises. Submissions are limited to this focused topic and may include:

• Real-life experience in successful (or unsuccessful) BPM undertakings; • Strategies and tools for managing business processes; • Innovative use of tools, models or management approaches for same; • Governance experience/approaches for business process management; • Implementations of tools or services that may improve process management; and • Innovative approaches to business and IT working together to improve and deliver on the promise of BPM.The submission deadline is June 1, 2009. All papers should be prepared in English. Submissions should be limited to a maximum of four pages in length and must include the title of the proposed session, a one-paragraph summary at the top of the paper and summary professional bio information.
