Citizens Insurance Company of America and The Hanover Insurance Co.-both affiliates of Worcester, Mass.-based Allmerica Financial Corp.-launched an Internet-based direct-mail portal for independent agents. Offered through New York-based USDATA, the portal enables agents to select targeted mailing lists based on geographic area, consumer demographics or business characteristics. Agents can also customize postcards and execute direct mail campaigns via the site. USDATA coordinates prospect-list generation, printing and mailing of all direct mail pieces. Real-time mailing lists, tailored to the agent's specifications, are available through InfoBase List from Acxiom Corp., Little Rock, Ark.
