Cover-All Software Pulls Data from Nearly Any Source

Cover-All Technologies introduced a suite of data collection and analysis software that can draw information from nearly any existing source in an insurance company.

The Fairfield, N.J., developer of programs for the property and casualty insurance industry said its NexGen Business Intelligence Suite can be added to its existing My Insurance Center Business Acquisition Platform or be installed on its own.

The suite comes with pre-built data models for core insurance subject areas. The software supports global and diverse insurance businesses.

The software uses online analytical processing technology in pre-staging and staging warehousing and supply of data. The suite also provides “hundreds of insurance metrics and slicing capabilities through various dimensions,’’ according to president Manish Sha.

The suite can unify data from multiple business units and operate on many different administrative systems. By pulling information from disparate sources, the suite provides “a consistent enterprise view of information for analysis and planning,’’ he said, in announcing the product at the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association conference in Nashville.

The software comes with a built-in library of functions for extracting data from existing databases and transforming it into usable data in the unified system, according to Shailesh Mehrotra, Vice President of Business Intelligence, at Cover-All.

The system can be up and running in three to six months, he said.

At the end of May, Cover-All’s stock began being listed and traded on the NYSE Amex exchange, under the COVR symbol. Previously, it had traded on OTC Markets Group’s QB market.
